dj Ury

Valentin Uri alias dj Ury s-a nascut pe 15 iulie 1982 in Bucuresti. Pasionat de muzica inca din copilarie, a inceput sa mixeze in anul 2004. Totul a inceput pentru el ca o joaca. In 2005 a devenit dj rezident in Fuchsia din Bucuresti. A pus muzica un an jumatate, apoi a plecat rezident in Cotton Club pentru inca un an. In 2008 a inceput sa puna muzica in Opium Stage unde a fost rezident un an jumatate.

Christian Lepah

Christian LePah was born on the 5-th February 1981 in Bucharest, Romania. He discovered his passion for sound at the age of 9 after he saw his father fixing an amplifier. His father shared the same passion for sound himself and was an inspiration for his son in the years that followed. At the age of 19 Christian would entertain the audience for the first time at a party in Bucharest. His will of playing music not only for himself but also for the people would take him to famous clubs in Bucharest such as Tzs Cotton Club, Bamboo, The Office Bucharest, The Office Lounge Mamaia and would also become a resident in these places. He developed a certain technique as a DJ playing classic disco, classic house, latin house and improved it over the years playing deep house and tech house. Artists like Cerrone, Jamie Lewis, Louie Vega, Dennis Ferrer had a great influence on him being a source of inspiration in his mixes. In the past few years he went from classic style to the undergroung style being inspired by artists like Loco Dice, Marco Carola and Luciano. When asked in an interview which one suites him the best he answered that these are two different sides of his artistic structure which cannot be compared or chosen one over the other.

Dj a'De

At first view, you might think that he has nothing to say, but appearances are deceptive.Tactful, funny and maybe sometimes looking too serious, but a'De is the person on whom you can always rely on.

In my parents' home there was always music..., therefore it's understandable why a'De has chosen the music path, and moreover, he always felt that music means more than just tempo. So this is how he started to listen to a large variety of music. One could state that when he discovered electronic music, his life changed completely.

Years of music culture were starting to show off their contribution and as time went by, a'De gets hired at a local radio station, where he enriches more his musical background. For a while he produces the radio show "Soft Music" where he gets in contact with chillout and ambiental music. From here, some amazing years begin to enfold... [for me] radio will always be my first love. There were some nice years in which I had the opportunity to meet some fantastic people..., a'De states.

From this point to the moment of becoming a DJ, all that was needed was one step, a great and yet difficult step to take.To put it this way, I was lucky because I met a great DJ, his name is Paul. I was his disciple for a long time and yes, when it comes to DJ-ing, I owe everything to him. I remember a funny moment from the beginning of those times. I was in a club from Bucharest, Paul was mixing and I was taking notice of everything that he was doing and also to what was going on around him. At some point, Paul asked me - "Do you know what this button is for?" My answer came quickly, I was very sure about myself and I said - "Yes, I do know!" He was referring to the CUE player button and this is how it all started.

Two other DJs, Marius and Ionut, also had a great influence on a'De and he is very grateful to them both.

Years went by and meanwhile, a'De took a small break from DJing, focusing more on his job, this time in MTV Romania. At the starting of 2006, his musical style changes in a big way and he focuses on Tech House, Progressive, Deep House and Techno-Tech, basically the music zone where he always wanted to be in. Most probably I've experienced the greatest feelings while playing music to so many people. It's more than just an interesting experience, you realize it's only you, the music and the people and you all become as ONE.

Then he becomes a resident DJ for some big and not so big clubs. In the spring of 2008 he joins the team of the resident DJs belonging to the online radio Citybeat Radio (from UK) and he begins to mix music within "The Vibes 1.0" show. His guests were: Darin Epsilon, Andy B, Dandi & Ugo, Flavio Dias, Hagen [B], the incredible Jon Moyer, NoiDoi, Parov Stelar, Tagtraeumer, The Model and many more.

Today, for a'De, DJing is more than just a passion and his DJ style starts from chillout, goes through deep-house, tech-house and many other fusions, progressive-house and techno, and ends up with trance, a style which he discovered due to DJ Fable, while a'De was mixing for Citybeat Radio.

Bibicu

Bibicu’s music journey began when he was a kid with piano lessons he took for 8 years. Now it has been some years since Bibicu started to experience the knowledge of electronic flavour. There are two tracks that totaly changed his musical life: Sasha’s bomb “Xpander” and John Digweed’s smash hit “Heaven Scent”. Bibicu made his first small DJ gig at club Kilowatts in his hometown Sighisoara back in 2005 in the underground club which rised the electronic music scene in the area and also helped him decide what to do with this. After several nights he met an old friend – Alecs Kay (another electronique music lover) and they started to make plans for local electronic music scene. After a month Bibicu and Alecs established the “Knights For Knowledge” project with several successful parties in Romania. By the end of July 2006 they promoted another project, called “We Love Summer Nights Festival” – 4 nights, 4 consecutive parties at the medieval festive period. People from around the country and world came to dance all night long on live sets by Bibicu, Alecs Kay, Kingnon, Aviator, Task Kreed and Limpid BrainWashed (last two are future formers of Nutation Label). Later on, Bibicu was asked the question what was the reward for preparing and promoting the events. His answer: “It’s very hard to organize something like that because people here are still not used to this kind of parties, to this kind of Music. When you scream and raise your hands in front of the DJ you thank him in a beautiful way. It wasn’t happening in the beginning but after a couple of attempts everything came right. That inspired me through the night. And then one guy came to me Monday morning at 6 o’clock, after the 4 great gigs, and said to me: ‘Thank you for all wonderful nights.’ Now that’s more important than money or other reward.” He started a profound research about all kinds of electronic music, styles, producers and djs. Soon he launched several mixes with minimal/tech/house available to download for free on bibicu.net. In short period of time Bibicu received good feedback and that inspired him to continue. His sound was changed when he met Monoroom (top german producers/djs) a big inspiration for Bibicu, and another big change of mixing style produced after joining the Nutation Label. “This mixing things up activity remains a nice hobby for me. This is my soul food, and not only the body needs food. It’s all about the music!” (Bibicu)
